Since last year’s show, we have been eagerly anticipating more groundbreaking advancements in AI. CES 2025 did not disappoint! AI was everywhere, from the halls of the LVCC to the Venetian Expo to the Las Vegas Strip. Advancements in Agentic AI and Physical AI are set to enhance and expand humans’ capabilities in various areas of life and work.

PRWeek reported a post-pandemic record 5,300 media attended this year, up from 4,800 in 2023, with more than 500,000 mentions across social media stories. While mainstream and tech media counted as major hits for many brands on display, influencers like Jon Rettinger, with 310K Instagram followers and 1.7M YouTube subscribers, also made a huge impact.

Without further ado, here are the biggest CES trends in AI and the brands that shined.

1. Enhanced GPU Processing

The stars of the show in the semiconductor world were the new GPU chips that are set to power a full range of AI-enabled devices, from laptops and PCs to supercomputers and self-driving vehicles.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s nearly two-hour keynote kicked off CES with the introduction of the RTX 5070 GPU, offering RTX 4090 performance at half the power and cost.

Other processors announced were AMD’s Radeon 9000 series and Ryzen AI series for high-powered gaming laptops, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X for Copilot+ PCs and laptops from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

2.  Autonomous RTS

Self-driving cars were a hot topic at CES, with Waymo’s biggest exhibit ever grabbing attention with their Zeekr RT and other OEM partners. They are using NVIDIA Drive AGX Thor and plan to expand their fleet to Austin, Atlanta, and Miami thanks to a $5.6M investment.

Uber also made waves, announcing their use of NVIDIA’s Cosmos simulation tool and DGX Cloud to push forward their autonomous tech.

On the Las Vegas Strip, Amazon’s Zoox robotaxi impressed with its smooth accelerations and confident lane changes. Public rides are set to launch in Las Vegas and San Francisco this year.

3. AI-Powered Smart TVs

CES is always a highlight for TV enthusiasts. Top brands like Hisense, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and TCL displayed their latest models and innovations.

TCL, the NFL’s official TV partner, wowed the crowd with their Smart TV platforms. They announced Google TV integration with Gemini, offering natural language understanding and enhanced NFL viewing experience. Plus, their QM6K TV is now available for preorder – a CES first!

Hisense also unveiled new Google TV sets slated for late 2025 and early 2026 and featured the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup trophy to draw in fans. Meanwhile, TCL drew attention with NFL stars like Jerome Bettis.

Microsoft’s AI Copilot is coming to LG and Samsung TVs. Samsung’s new models now enhance older content with HDR Remastering, and LG’s TVs feature voice recognition, an AI chatbot, and an AI Concierge for personalized recommendations.

4. Smart Home Ecosystems

Smart home concepts have significantly evolved, with practical applications of Physical AI in home technology rendering traditional household chores outdated.

Featured demos included AI-driven home assistants and self-operating appliances collectively suggested a future characterized by smarter and more interconnected living experiences. Here is a glimpse of brands that stood out:

  • Roborock’s next-gen robotic vacuums with arms that can pick up dirty laundry.
  • TCL’s AiMe companion robots that can play with kids.
  • Yarbo’s intelligent lawnmowers transform into snowblowers.

5. Smart Eyewear Era

2025 is all about smart glasses! Companies like Amazon, EssilorLuxottica, Halliday, RokidTCL, and Xreal are leading the way.

TechRadar’s Hamish Hector praised TCL’s RayNeo X3 Pro for its advanced features, including:

  • Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset
  • Dual-camera setup for AI vision and AR features
  • Full-color micro-LED screens built into the lenses

Also worth noting, EssilorLuxottica’s Nuance Audio doubles as discreet hearing aids, and Halliday’s smart glasses feature an “invisible display.”
